The name was chosen because your dreams and visions deserve to be treated as something precious — not just another task on your to-do list. When you open Aethel on your iPhone, you're creating more than a pretty collage: you're giving your aspirations a beautiful home where they can grow and inspire you every day. ### Who created Aethel? Marina — a product manager, mother, and spiritual human being from Germany. She previously created VISIYA (https://visiya.app/), a holistic vision board app; Aethel is her next chapter in empowering women with beautiful tools for manifestation. After years in tech, she kept seeing the same problem: people needed a simple way to visualise their dreams without fighting complicated design software. Read the full story on the [About page](https://www.aethel-app.com/about), or follow the journey on [Substack](https://visionandcode.substack.com). ### Why are vision boards so powerful? There's real science behind visualization. When you see your goals on your iPhone every day, your brain starts recognizing opportunities that align with your dreams. Aethel helps you turn abstract wishes into visual reminders that keep you focused and inspired. ### How do I create a cohesive look without design skills? That's the whole point of Aethel — you don't need to know anything about colour theory or composition. The templates are designed with visual harmony built in. Pick a grid that feels right, drop in your photos, and everything just works. ### Do I need any design experience to use Aethel? Not at all. If you can scroll Instagram on your iPhone, you can create beautiful boards with Aethel. Tap a cell to add a photo, press and hold to drag it where you want it, done. No tutorials needed. ### Is Aethel a subscription or one-time purchase? One-time purchase, period. Pay once for Aethel Premium and you get unlimited boards, all templates, and premium fonts — forever. No recurring charges. ### Can I share my boards directly to Instagram from my iPhone? Yes. There are preset sizes for Instagram Stories and Posts, so your exports are always perfectly formatted. ### Can I use my own iPhone photos in my boards? Absolutely. Pull images straight from your camera roll, bring in your own saved Pinterest pins, or search the curated stock library powered by Unsplash. Mix personal photos with stock imagery to create something uniquely yours. ### Is my data private and secure? Your creations belong to you alone. Your boards are kept on your iPhone and in your own private iCloud, where Aethel can't see them. There's no Aethel account, and Aethel doesn't upload your photos to its servers. ### Are my boards backed up? Yes. Aethel keeps your boards and their images in your own private iCloud. They sync between your iPhones and come back when you reinstall the app or move to a new iPhone. There's no Aethel account to create: it uses the iCloud you're already signed in to. Without iCloud everything still works, and your boards stay on your iPhone. ### Where can I download Aethel? Aethel is available on the [App Store](https://apps.apple.com/app/id6756817775). Download it for free and start creating.
